Photocopier Printing
If you adjoin a printer module and network card to a digital copier, it can in fact double as an office laser printer, working
at the same speed it makes copies. Most offices and workplaces can really benefit from using a copier as a printer as per-page costs can be lowered to as little as 20% of laser printing costs.
Most copiers do run standard networking protocols, however you still need to make sure the model that you choose is compatible with your network. It is advisable to Involve your IT department with the copier company’s IT.

Photocopier Faxing
Simply with the addition of a fax module, you can send and receive faxes through your workplace photo copier. It is possible to easily send multi-page faxes using the document feeder, and you can use the copier glass to fax single pages as well as sections of books and catalogs. Incoming faxes can be printed as they arere received, sometimes even into a separate output tray. With an appropriate network interface, your employees can even send faxes from their computers.

Stackless duplexing
Digital copiers are able to support stackless duplexing by storing each side of your original page in memory, and then printing both sides of the copy. What this means is that the number of two-sided copies you make is no longer limited by the capacity of a duplex tray. Not only this, but you will receive your duplexed copies much faster too.
Automatic re-sizing
Most digital copiers offer an automatic sizing function within the machine. This enables the copier to take note of and save the dimensions of your original document and then adjust itself using preset reduction or enlargement settings, even if your copying paper is of different size to your original copy.
Scan and Network print
Many modern Digital Photocopiers have the ability to be connected to a network. This can be a great advantage as a network copier acting as a printer can greatly reduce printing costs and increase productivity by allowing automatic downloading and production of multiple, first generation copies. The scan to file option on many modern copiers has the advantage of moving towards the "Paperless office" document archiving will mean that you would no longer to keep hard copies of the original documents saving valuble office space and resources.
Document Management
Many digital copiers include integrated scanning and document managing features. These can include;
Some capabilities that used to be expensive or simply were not available are now standard on today's digital multifunction products.
Image and Document Editing
Some digital copiers can edit your documents whilst duplication is taking place. This can include automatic page numbering or annotations like "confidential" or "duplicate", or even add date stamps.
Many copiers can also rotate scanned images to match the orientation of available paper supplies, preventing time and paper wasting due to unanticipated errors. They can also combine images in various creative ways, such as copying a two-sided original (for example, a cheque) onto one page for better filing, or reducing and combining originals to put 2, 4, or 8 pages onto one.
Automatic shut-off
Almost all digital copiers now include an automatic shut-off option â€" not only does this save energy but it will decrease the wear on your copier by turning itself off if it has not been used for an extended or set period of time.
Security
Digital copiers often now allow you to require users to enter an assigned security or PIN (Personal Identification Number) code before they are able to make copies. Not only does this provide a level of security by preventing unauthorized usage, but it will allow you to analyze current usage patterns by certain users or departments.
Some machines are also able to hol ‘secure’ faxes or network documents in memory until the correct code is entered, then print them, preventing confidential and private documents from being left in the output tray for any user or passer-by to view.
