The bizhub 163 can serve as a TWAIN-compatible local scanner when connected directly to a PC. It can scan originals up to A3 size and pages of books. Convert paper documents to digital data just as simply as you would make copies. You can share the information over the network as an optional function. Conveniently scan, and attach documents to your email and send them on.

Network Printing Function*¹

Documents up to A3 size can be output from a PC. The bizhub 163 prints 16 pages/min*² at 300 dpi or 12 pages/min*² at 600 dpi. You print a 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16 page layout onto a single sheet, and you can enjoy Watermark functions such as "CONFIDENTIAL". In addition, by adding the optional Printer Controller IC-205 you get superior image resolution and even easier sorting. Bizhub 163 comes equipped with USB and Parallel Interface as standard, so you can use this product as a local printer without a network environment.

FAX & Internet FAX*

The fax function uses the Super G3 international standard and the JBIG standard high-efficiency data compression scheme. Faxes can be sent over ordinary telephone lines at high speed, keeping your communication costs down. Register up to 200 frequently used fax numbers and e-mail addresses. Plus, you can register up to 27 destination items in the One-Touch Dial. Internet Fax function can greatly reduce telephone charges.

Scan & Send

While the bizhub 160f is a black-and-white machine, a TWAIN-compatible colour scanner comes standard. It can provide colour documents without the need to purchase a separate flatbed scanner. With the additional realism of colour scanned data can add extra power to any document.

Fax Functions

The 160f has built-in Super G3 fax with standard JBIG data compression/decompression. Register up to a maximum of 231 recipients - 200 on speed Dial and 15 on One-Touch Dial - for easy and quick faxing. You can also enter up to 16 recipients on the Ten Key Dialing, and the same faxes or e-mails can be sent simultaneously to all destinations.

Printing Functions

Equipped with both parallel port and USB interfaces, the bizhub 160f lets you output data from a wide range of PCs quickly and smoothly. Offering full GDI support, the 160f prints from a Windows PC at a quick 16 pages/min. at 300dpi and 12 pages/min. at a higher quality 600dpi.

Convenient Functions

The 160/161 series can store a maximum of 750 sheets, thanks to an optional tray that can hold up to 500 sheets and a bypass tray that can hold up to 10 sheets. Load labels, envelopes, OHP film and other paper types onto the bypass tray for specialised document output.

Universal Design
