Automatic and Reverse Document Feeders
An automatic document feeder (ADF) allows you to copy multi-page documents without the added task of having to lift and lower the cover for every sheet of paper you copy. Instead, your stack of original documents can be placed into the feeder and, by simply pressing the start button, the ADF automatically pulls each page through.
A reverse document feeder (RADF) is used for double-sided or duplex copying. An RADF ensures that pages are flipped inside the photocopier feeder to scan and copy the other side of a document.

Duplex Copying
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Â
Duplex (or double-sided) copying enables printing on both sides of every sheet. Besides its usefulness, benefits of this feature include saving paper and time, lowered costs and reduced filing. On an environmental note, you are of course also using less paper. If you can lower your workplace’s dependence on paper, then your business will assure that less trees need to be felled for consumption and less energy involved in paper production is used.

Sorting Capabilities
A large majority of the latest digital copiers and printers produced by brands such as Canon and Toshiba are capable of sorting copied sets electronically without the use of sorter bins. Instead of being placed into separate bins, the copies are stored in a single tray at a right angle (or are offset) from each other, allowing you to easily identify where one set ends and another begins. Not only this, but bin-free sorting allows you to make unlimited sets at one time, rather than relying on how many sorter bins you have.

Finishing Capabilities
Your business may require a finisher in your office copier if you want to copy many sets of multi-page documents. The most familiar type of finisher is automatic stapling, which can save a vast amount of time. More advanced versions include three-hole punches, saddle stitch binding, folding, and more. Finishers are optional on many machines and vary in price according to functions, so make sure that you ask about them.
Here is an example of the Konica Minolta range of finishing options.
